It answered a lot of my questions. I am,from now on, buying this book as my new go-to shower gift. It has a common sense approach to many questions.

How To Relieve Colic In Babies - Mum SOS - Channel Mum

No scare tactics or fear mongering. It certainly helped boost the confidence level of this first time mom. It affirms my instincts are actually good and that if I do have a question I have a handy and user friendly Canadian resource. Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from An excellent new resource for parents Canada's Baby Care Book is a great new reference available to those looking for guidance on caring for infants.

The book is up-to-date and filled with color photos to supplement the text.

I found it to be non-judgemental and accepting of the notion that there are many ways to successfully raise children. Notwithstanding the opinions of other reviewers, I found the information on infant feeding to be balanced, providing details about the pro's and con's of both breast and bottle feeding. Overall, an excellent resource for new parents or seasoned veterans looking for more information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from An excellent and supportive book for parents I would just like to say that I find this book an honest and supportive book for new parents.

The best baby sleep books

In my experience I have found many new mothers are left feeling guilty and inadequate if they have not been able to meet society's expectations of them as a brand new mother. Let us not forget this experience is new not just for the infant but for parents as well. I commend the authors for giving informed options to families who are embarking on a new journey. Having information available for parents to make an informed decision for what is best for their individual situation I feel is a refreshing approach.

I love that there are excellent visual aids, photographs and instructions as well as available resources to help new families adjust to their roles as parents. Bravo, and as a soon to be first time mother, I already have this book in my favorites pile!
